changed song again. it's called "Voyage".
nice song, and the mv kinda fits my blog design, if you've seen it :P
and even nicer is it's singer & lyricist. you guessed it, it's my all time favourite artiste -
Hamasaki Ayumi !! realised i haven't been listening to her songs lately, much due to her new style in her new album. don't really like it. pity.

have been watching tv lately, feels kinda bored nowadays. with this stupid wound on my arm (refer to jeremy's blog for some, err, details) can't do anything without hurting myself. watched nat geo, discovery, news, and what not, and some thoughts just came across my mind...
i was, a few minutes ago, still a tree-hugger. i highly despised wastage of food and resources, as well as hunting and cruelty to animals, pollution, etc etc. then i saw those typical commercials on discovery channel with their trademark slogan "when the buying stops, the killing can too". then it just suddenly came to me that, hey, why should i even be bothered? we humans are, in fact, the ultimate predator. if we wanna satisfy our needs and wants, extinction of some of the other species are inevitable. maybe all these are, well, fated? didn't want to use this word, but can't think of a better word than that, so sorry. you see, it was kinda fated for humans to rise above all else. we were given the intelligence and what not to adapt perfectly to the environment, so much so as to change it. so i don't see anything wrong with overkilling or deforestation. as much as we need to conserve resources, why not the animals start getting used to us? not like they can that easily, but hey, look at those furballs you keep at home. those dogs and cats are perfectly adapted to living with us, much like they've "betrayed" their wilder cousins. but that's the way of nature, isn't it? survival of the fittest. eat or be eaten. and currently, and possibly until humans go extinct, we will be those that eat, and those we're trying so hard to conserve and protect will be the ones who will get eaten. since by doing what we're doing now - pollution, overuse of resources, and all that were already mentioned by me or nat geo- can just be seen as a natural way of life. human life.
well...i'm not here to advocate doing against what World Wildlife Fund is trying so hard to get into our incredibly stubborn heads, but we can't really blame each other for destroying the planet, can we? maybe we humans are "chosen" to rise against all odds and start eating this planet inside out. since that's the case then so be it, we're only slowing down what we're meant to do. again, hate to use the word, maybe that's fate. till then, other species should jolly well start getting used to us and take advantage for them to survive. and at the end, like the opening theme of the movie made from Douglas Adam's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, dolphins might just fly into space singing "thank you for all the fish" ;)
