yay! new blog design! finally up, heh heh!
the reason why i've changed it into a sumi-e, or ink and water painting, style is mainly because i was influenced by the PS2 game Okami. It's absolutely beautiful. the new moon in the design is actually a replica of that in the game, though i've tried as much to be as accurate as possible. and for the main painting itself..well..try searching sumi-e on wikipedia and see what you get, haha! i can only say that i shopped a part of the painting since the original painting lacked the height. the other main change is the 水中月 title, which is written in a calligraphic manner. i wanted such an effect on my previous design, but i didn't know how to do it. special thanks to jinyong for introducing me such a great software like the Adobe Illustrator. Other stuffs are basically unchanged.
ah, before i forget, there's a significant difference in the font and font size if the page is viewed in Firefox and IE. Now i see why you guys are complaining about the font, because IE screws it! FF displays the fonts perfectly. But the trade-off for using FF will be no scrollbar colour change. Your choice, since both are just to improve visual appeal. Before i end this "short" message about my new design, i'll be thankful to receive more feedback about the usability and the overall interface, since the font colours and sizes are mostly the same. thanks guys, and gals.
just a short update on my life recently. my other temp colleague just left work last friday, and things are getting really busy. but the good thing is a rather attractive girl, who has studied in Canada and acquired their slang, has joined us as a volunteer :P
